About Us

Hello and welcome! I’m so glad you found me. I’m Jodee, the owner of Visual Creations Photography. I am a multi-published, award-winning studio photographer based out of La Crosse, Wisconsin. I have traveled the world having the honor of working with some of the best photographers in the nation. I have spent countless hours training and continuing my education in photography. I specialize in newborns and maternity. I also love working with couples, events, seniors and families. In other words, I do it all! As a mom myself, I understand the importance of taking the time and investing in professional portraits.

I didn’t always plan on being a photographer though! I graduated from Viterbo University with the goal of working in law enforcement and eventually becoming a district attorney. I took as many photography classes as I could, but never thought my hobby could become my career. My mom bought me my first digital camera after my daughter was born. That’s where I really learned how to use a camera. Don’t look at my old work though-it’s not very good! Haha! After working several years behind the scenes in everything from sports and commercial photography to editing for photographers throughout the world, and even working in software engineering, I branded off into my own business in 2010.
